Rules

Rules
From aKa.Hellish.aKa 03/28/04 - Revised by Cyborg 10/08/09
I. Channel Regulations
-Refrain from the use of obscenities and other slurs in the presence of non-clan members.
-Respect of all persons in the channel is to be maintained, even to enemies of the clan. This, of course, will prove that we are their moral superiors, worthy of winning any conflict in which we might find ourselves.
-Refrain from insulting anyone who wanders into our channel, however, mockery with one's friends is acceptable, providing it does not spiral out of control.
-Scrolling, spamming, and/or any other annoying way of chatting will not be tolerated.
RULES FOR USING A BOT IN THE CHANNEL
-----------------------------------------------------------
-Each member is allowed to load ONE bot in the channel. If you have a 24/7 connection, you are encouraged to leave it running permanently.
-Every member of the high council should be given full access. This includes the ability to shutdown the bot if required.
-The ops bots in the clan are Roost, Roost#2 and Brimstone. These use the triggers . ` & ~ respectively. Please avoid using these triggers for your bots.
-Please do not use anti-idle or greet messages. MP3 Idle messages should also be avoided.
-Mimic features are annoying, please avoid using them in the channel.
-Members must NEVER massload (definition: Load more than one bot) or Floodbot the channel, for showing off, testing ops or whatever purpose.
Members found flouting these rules will likely have any access privilidges removed and temporary bans from the forum and/or channel. They will also lose their right to have a bot in the channel. Persistent offenders will be permanently removed from the clan.
-----------------------------------------------------------
II. Forum Regulations & Security
-The following ranks will gain entry into the council chambers:
Councilmen
Leader/Founder
Leaders of merging clans
Exceptions are sometimes made for Commanders and up
The council holds the right to revoke any forum privileges at any time
-All users are to follow the rules and regulations of the forum that are set by the administrators and moderators
-An administrator may at his or her discretion ban anyone from a certain forum board, or the forum itself within reason - they do not need the approval of the council via vote to ban an individual who they feel represents a risk to the forum or an individual who has shown disrespect for the rules of the forum/specific board.
III. Channel Security
-In Op Roost, the home channel of the Brimstone Dragon, the following ranked members will recieve ops control of the bot.
-Members will have 20 bot access
-Knights will have 40 bot access
-Lords will have 60 bot access
-Councilmen will have bot access of 80
-Any councilor may at his or her discretion ban anyone in the room within reason - they do not need the approval of the council via vote to ban an individual who they feel represents a risk that needs to be dealt with swiftly.
IV. Diplomacy
-All members shall not use the threat of war without permission, and at that, only a Lord, High Council or War Council may threaten a state of War (see War Council rules below).
-All members shall not promise Brimstone Dragon War protection unless they are on the High Council.
-A member, while wearing a BD tag, shall not behave in a manner derogatory to the reputation and honor of our clan. This includes talking in caps, insults, offensive statements, etc, while in another clan's channel. This is important, as our clan's reputation is vital to our success.
V. Recruitment
-All members are expected to recruit other members. The clan cannot grow without members taking responsibility for this.
-A member may not recruit someone if they are one of the following:
------------------------------------------------------------------------
-A former Brimstone Dragons member.
-A member of another clan.
-A known opponent of the Clan.
------------------------------------------------------------------------
-The recruitment stance determines the way members recruit. You will find notification of the current recruitment stance on the Forum. Below are the stances and a explanation of each.
------------------------------------------------------------------------
Green:
You may recruit anyone you wish that meet the standard requirements, sponsorship is -NOT- used under a green status.
Yellow:
All new recruits must be sponsored by a Knight or above. (Same rule applies as above only one sponsorship per week/7 days)
Red:
No recruitment
Sponsorship: (To clarify any confusion)
You must hold the rank of Knight or above
You may only sponsor every 7 days
After the 7 days are up the sponsored recruit will move to Member rank by default
------------------------------------------------------------------------
-Should a person leave the Brimstone Dragons, they shall only be re-invested into the clan with the approval of a current High Council member.
-Recruiting from other clans is strictly forbidden, unless under certain extenuating circumstances, such as we are at war with those clans, or are merging with them.
-If another clan recruits, or attempts to recruit a member, the High Council should be notified
as soon as possible,to take preventative measures to assure that it never can happen again.
VI. Membership
-All members should wear a variant of the standard Brimstone Dragon's tag:
BD-, BD_, BD~, BD., BD(name), or whatever they should desire.
-If a member achieves a rank of Council he/she may set their name as whatever they wish - even wearing other tags as long as they are not tags of a currently active clan. They are still required to show membership via profile. (EA: aKa.Hellish.aKa, aKa is dead.)
-The removal of a member from the clan will require a majority of the High Council, or three out of the five members of the High Council consenting to the said member's removal.
VII. The Forum
-Use of the Forum is seen as an integral part of a members overall activity. We recognize that it is not always easy for people to come online, but we do expect members to remain active on the Forum.
-Each member should make a Forum account (does not need to be tagged)
-Please observe the rules for posting in each of the boards. If you do not abide by the rules, you are likely to receive fair warnings, then further action will be taken. This might include
reducing your 'Karma' (which would lead to you being unable to use the forum), temporary/ permanent IP bans (your IP is logged)
-There are general rules that apply for each board. You are asked to observe these and they can be found at the top of each board. Some of the most common offenses include:
Double posting (two posts touching each other)
Going off topic
Flaming posts (unless in the designated board 'flame wars')
One word posts |
